I wanted to share something a little extra with my Patreon supporters – something that won’t be going in the public post I’m about to publish about my Mars One selection preparations.

I’ve spent a lot of time working out how to be Physically, Mentally, Emotionally, and Spiritually prepared for the next selection phase, and most of it boils down the some key basics that I need to remind myself of every day. So while you can read the lengthy public post about my preparations, it’s actually these two small print-outs glued to my journal that I refer to every day.

The front cover is simple personal reminders for each of James Altucher’s Four Steps , the “Four Agreements” laid out by Don Miguel Ruiz, and 6 little sayings I’ve picked up myself. Finally there’s 5 aspects I look for in an “ideal” partner” – even though there’s no such thing as an “ideal partner”, the aspects are more reflective about who *I* want to be as a person.

The journal’s much more colourful back cover has all the qualities listed on Mars One’s “Astronaut Requirements” page, a short list of study material, two big questions to keep me focused on living in the present with purpose, and my three big priorities for this year that are only indirectly related to preparing for Mars One.
